Secret Revealed: Mark Ramsey Media Signs Content Deal with Wondery

Today, I am proud to announce that my company, Mark Ramsey Media, has signed an agreement to develop content for on-demand audio publisher Wondery. The first show created under that agreement launches today. It’s called Inside Psycho, and it’s the first audio graphic novel in the podcast space. Radio: There Will Be No More New Music Formats

If you’re waiting for a new music format – a knight in shining armor – to save your flagging ratings, then you will be waiting for the rest of your professional career. Because there never will be one ever again. What’s the next big new format? Radio has been asking that question forever. Most recently, the answer was Classic Hip Hop. Is it the next big thing? But what happens when new choices and the novelty packed into them abound? And not just “radio” choices, but attention-getting distractions which occupy the same block of time that otherwise would have been devoted to “radio”? It was legendary ad-man David Ogilvy who famously said “Encourage innovation. Change is our life blood, stagn

New Wi-Fi has a range of 62 miles. Yes, really.

Once upon a time Wi-FI could barely reach from one end of your house to the other. Pundits scoffed at the idea that the Internet could ever live in cars since traveling down the road meant an endless succession of somebody else’s (closed) Wi-Fi networks. Then folks realized that you could bring the Internet into the car with you, thanks to the 3G (or better) device in your pocket that you also occasionally used for making calls. Yeah, they said, but that’s clunky and awkward
