The magic of a fantasy prize


We’re so lacking in creativity in Radio when it comes to prizes.

“We’ll pay your mortgage.” Yawn. What people say they want and what they dream about are two different things. We rarely capture the latter, yet that’s what would be most memorable and talked about.

Here’s a tiny little example. It’s a room makeover by one of the “imagineers” behind Pixar’s upcoming movie “The Incredibles.” And it’s a promotion from a California supermarket chain, Vons.

Now that’s a fantasy fulfilled.

And one which a movie studio would gladly give up for free in order to get the promotion on your air (if “you” are part of a major group that also participates).

Think out of the proverbial box, folks, and besides simply fulfilling listener needs you might just fulfill listener dreams.
