“Radio, You Hear it Here First” continues to malinger on

The notion that an advertising campaign – any advertising campagin – especially one as fundamentally misguided as this one – will actually change the mindset of listeners during an explosion of genunely competitive radio alternatives is somewhere on the scale from naive to ridiculous.

Now comes word that failure is no impediment to the progress of advertising.

The Rolling Stones have come aboard to provide their testament to the importance of radio in their career.

One can only hope that the grandchildren of the Stones original fans are magically hypnotized into doing their bidding.

As long as that bidding does not require them to buy Stones music.
