Radio “reborn” on Satellite and ‘Net?

Has radio been “reborn” on Internet and Satellite? That’s the opinion in this editorial.

This is the perspective of a certain type of music fan (and note I said “music,” not “radio”). At the very least it suggests there’s a non-trivial audience for specialty programming. But the points made here are the generalizations of someone who, I guarantee you, has – at one time or another – been in a band.

That is not intended to diminish these points – only to say that they are not as uniform and the author seems to think.

Still, a large segment of the audience agrees with him (and it’s usually a “him,” by the way).

This editorial is “very Greg.” And if you want to know what that means, come see our presentation this fall at the NAB convention in Dallas.
