From Inside Radio:
29% of new Sirius subscribers in December and January — and only 29% — cited Howard Stern. That statistic jumps out from Jonathan Jacoby’s Banc of America Securities report. He says “around 29% of Sirius subscribers mentioned Stern as one of the top three reasons for choosing the provider.”
You can’t possibly ask a question like this and expect a straight answer. Also, Howard’s impact on Sirius subscriptions is not just about his direct value as a motivational source but about the whirlwind of publicity his journey to Sirius creates and the impact of that whirlwind on the decision-making of new subscribers.
So don’t be confused. “29%” is just scratching the surface.
