XM SATELLITE RADIO CEO HUGH PANERO repeated his oft-stated doubt that HOWARD STERN will show up on satellite radio anytime soon. PANERO told the SKYFORUM conference in NEW YORK that STERN is still under contract with INFINITY; other analysts presenting at the conference noted that STERN’s salary is too large to be supported by satellite radio at present.
Message to “other analysts”:
This is backwards thinking.
Stern is an investment, not an expense.
The question isn’t “is Stern too big to be supported by satellite radio,” but “is satellite radio too small to be supported by Stern.”
