Another advantage Radio has – that we rarely exploit

Believe it or not, I’m talking about sound.

A note from one Nexus reader:


NPR’s use of ‘actualities’ in most ALL their news reports is another of the ‘best’ things on their network. Listeners FEEL like they are in Baghdad, Moscow, DC, NYC…wherever the report’s emanating from. I’m only 50, so don’t remember ‘old time radio’, but I would bet that a radio listener tuning in to CBS during WWII would feel right at home listening to NPR today. NO OTHER network pays this kind of attention to the SOUND of their newscasts!
