From USA Today:
A typical “one-hour” prime-time series clocks in at less than 42 minutes, down from 44 minutes several years ago and nearly 48 minutes in the 1980s.
Figure it out, folks.
That’s 18 minutes of promos and commercials in every prime-time hour.
18 minutes. Very nearly one of every three minutes.
Annoying? Sure. But is the programming worth sticking around for?
The networks are doing their best to see to it.
This is another case where “more is more.”
