Radio is way too complicated for MediaPost

How else to explain their article titled “Stations to Infinity’s Post-Stern Strategy: We’d Rather Play Music.”

Let’s break this down:

Stations NOT owned by Infinity have “told” Infinity they’re not going to run Infinity’s Stern-replacement roster, even though this lineup has NOT been made available to these stations in the first place.

The notion that they are settling on music is, for the most part, because they simply lack a better option.

Interesting side question: In whose interest is it to plant PR that’s harmful to Infinity despite being completely misleading?
