6 Steps to Dramatically Improve and Profit from Online Radio

This is the first of a two-part conversation with AndoMedia Group’s COO Paul Krasinski about the state of and prospects for online radio.

Ando is, of course, a company at the heart of the online radio universe – from metrics to ad insertion to enabling the capability to stream in the first place.  No company is closer to the success stories and lessons for improvement than Ando.

Paul and I covered six key ways publishers (e.g., broadcasters) can enhance the power of their online radio efforts and better monetize those efforts.

Excellent content Mark. It would be nice if you had some kind of level control
in your audio chain to balance the levels between you and your guest(s)

  • Thanks. Don't blame the player, blame the game.

  • Excellent interview. I learned a lot. We are certainly coming up against exactly the kind of head-scratching arguments that Paul mentions, but the one positive I keep getting is the admission from some of these broadcasters that they don't really understand all the opportunities in the digital space and are open to talking to people who do.

  • Decent information. But Paul jumps into geek- land with way too much jargon and buzz words, and little clarity. More specifics and examples boys, don't talk in ciircles.

  • Useful comment, thanks! Clarity and simplicity is always something I strive for.

  • Great interview.

Tech question: What software you used to split the screen? I love the format.

  • Call recorder for Skype. Thanks Gabriel.

  • There is an easy to use solution that adds online engagement and MP3 download e-commerce to radio station sites via MediaNet web components. These are white label, end to end solutions that keep users on your site as opposed to sending them off to iTunes or Amazon. http://www.mndigital.com
