The new look of Satellite Radio

OaIf the reports are true about XM’s Opie & Anthony replacing David Lee Roth - while still being broadcast on XM – the future is beginning to take the following shape:

Satellite Radio is not HBO, it’s Paramount Pictures.

As I have long argued, if you have the content, spread it around. And if you don’t, too bad for you.

Here’s what you’ll see:

- increased visibility for O&A
- increased interest in satellite radio in general and XM in particular
- more satellite subscriptions
- more revenue coming to XM
- more revenue coming to CBS.

All because of the “C” word: “Content.”

This is the next evolution of satellite radio, folks. Get used to it. Radio will be their best customers.
